Amazon.com Product Description
A 1:1 scale replica of an actual M4 grenade launcher rifle, this Boyi automatic electric airsoft LPEG is remarkably authentic. The Boyi M4 fires round 6mm plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun by compressed air. The advantage of the airsoft rifle, however, is that players can safely train, simulate, or play with the gun without fearing serious injury. The M4 looks, feels, weighs, and functions just like a real firearm, but is built for casual recreation rather than weaponized use. In fact, the only way you can typically tell a real-steel firearm from an airsoft rifle is the blazing orange tip and the BBs that fire when you pull the trigger. The Boyi M4 is considered a low-powered electric rifle (LPEG) due to the use of a plastic gearbox (PGB), making it an ideal entry-level introduction to electric airsoft guns. The M4 includes batteries and a charger for a perfect all-in-one airsoft setup.

Specifications:

  • Compatible with 0.12-gram, 6mm BBs
  • 260 fps
  • Interchangeable RIS fore grip
  • Pump-action grenade launcher
  • 2 magazines, 50 rounds
  • Made in China
  • Includes 3-point sling, PEG battery case, CQB crane stock, BB speed loader, RIS forward grip, and electric rifle manual

4 out of 5 stars very good   July 26, 2010
banana man
i bought this gun when it was for $60 dollars but i can see why they raised the price because this is a very good gun. i have had this gun for 3 months now used it near every day and only the tactical r.i.s rails have broke but are easily fixable with some super glue. both clips are metal and the iron sights have some metal in them to. it is strongly suggested to buy some more clips because this gun has a very high rate of fire. do not buy this gun if you want the grenade launcher because it sucks. this gun shoots much harder than 260 with .20 i clocked it at 301-305 fps. in conlusion this should be classified as a middle class gun not a lpeg

3 out of 5 stars seems good at first then...   July 23, 2010
At first after looking at all the good reviews it seemed good. but once you really use it, it sucks. When i got it the grenade launcher didn't work. I took it apart and spent a hour fixing it and putting it back together and one screw on it was bent it really sucked the grip on that it comes withe sucks it wobbles around. even though it comes with two stocks you cant remove the other one.what looks like a laser is a battery holder the instructions don't even tell you how long to charge it. when i got it, it would fire two shots on semi auto sometimes note even be able to pull the trigger the only way I found to fix that is to fire a few shots on full auto semi auto would then work until i switched it back to safe. and on full auto ,if you fire for too long it will burn the geers also full auto uses the whole mag in 6 seconds. the high cap mag dosnt work for long after using it twice it then breaks.the only nice things are is the top sight and the looks i used the top sight thing as a carry handle on my paintball gun. If you have the money and are thinking about getting either paintball or air soft choose paintball I tried both i had a other air soft gun and it was ok. I have a paintball gun and it is a blast people say air soft is more real and has cheaper ammo and cheaper guns but when your playing air soft there is cheaters and there is alout less of a scare. I think that paintball is more real because there is a scare of being shot. if you want it to be more real buy a tippmann 98 and make it customized. overall I do not recomend this to a friend try out paintball you will love it

2 out of 5 stars gun broke after 2 weeks   July 15, 2010
Jason
this is a very great gun that is very accurate for target practice. But the gear box got messed up and the gun broke after 2 weeks. plus the under barrel shotgun gets jammed and u cant unjam it.

5 out of 5 stars (the kid who uses the product) My 2 cents for the product   July 13, 2010

This is friggen amazing. I recommend you get this, note I'm not telling you to buy it, I'm just recommending it. The body is mainly plastic, although for this gun, there's plenty of metal on it. I'll tell you what IS metal. The outer barrel (not the orange tip), the sling mount (only 1 on the front, but very reliable), on the carry handle there is this bar under the 2 knobs to take it off that's metal, most of the rear sight is metal, the rail that the carry handle sits on is too metal, and that's it for whats ON the gun. The mags are metal (except the very top where one would load the ammo) but very durable from a 5ft drop when running, on the RIS handgaurd under the rails is metal, and that's pretty much it. This thing is durable. I've had a cheap sling that came with a different gun on this one, and the sling broke (the strap was cut on some big thorns), and I've only gotten some scratch's was all. Still works fine. The plastic seems like it's reinforced with something other than just plain old ABS plastic, like i said, it's durable. The extra stock with the cheek rest/BB storage, is VERY nice. But if your gonna use the 3 point sling (which is durable and reliable surprisingly), use the other stock. The charging handle is a nice feature for realism, and to get to the hop up (note that when the hop wheel is all the way back towards you, it's not full hop up, go forward 2 of those lines for max from what I can tell). I've put this through some serious abuse while playing (I know I shouldn't) but it's still working perfect, and it hurts like hell to be hit with it lol. The M203 piece is ok, either it's got a ton of hop up, or it's got a huge ass spring. My BB's fly up atleast 3-5 feet with that thing (.20 in that). This has got to be the best MPEG out there today. Perfect for anyone. I've beaten people with TM's, JG's, G&G's, whooped their asses. Oh and it can get heavy. the gun itself is like 7-10 pounds. OH and if your going to use the vertical grip, don't. It's kinda flimsy on the gun although it's metal. I suggest getting a UTG one or just a cheap one that screws into place from the bottom of the vert grip.

PROS:
Everything that was listed above

Cons:
The original stock doesn't have a sling mount on it, while it does have the slits for the 3-point sling.

I'm not telling you to buy this gun, I'm just recommending it for people.

2 out of 5 stars Good, but could be better.   June 13, 2010
Lukie
Let me just start off by saying, I was very pleased to see this gun under the tree for christmas. All the comments on here were great, so I was really excited about using it. The hard sights (the sights that come with the gun) are pretty accurate, and it shot fairly fast to me (my first airsoft rifle). Although a couple of weeks ago I was using the gun and I tripped over a branch while playing, and the the whole front of the gun came apart. Now I am not a very rough person at all and it did not take much to break that gun.

Pros- Good for backyard neighborhood games, fairly accurate, looks pretty sweet.

Cons- Not heavy (this could be a pro or a con depending on who you are), it took me FOREVER to put together, the M203 grenade launcher does NOT attach, the directions are very bad, not sturdy at all, the hand grip wiggles, and to top it off the gun only shoots 250-260 fps (feet per second)-not fast.

Overall, my opinion is to not buy this gun because the price tag may attract you, but don't let it fool you, the gun is not that great.
