Great power and accuracy, but plastic... August 8, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Daisy let out a nice BB gun when they made this one. Ive taken squirrels out of trees from 100 feet, and killed them. With six pumps you can kill most small animals, squirrels, pigeons, doves, rabbits, etc. One pump will easily clear your yard of unwanted larger pests like cats and dogs. Loading BBs is very easy. Pull back the chamber loading lever then give it one to ten pumps. (Over ten will break off the pump, easily fixable) Pellets take a while though. Almost every scope mounts easy, but must be sighted in. The only drawback is its made of plastic and scratches and chips easy. Great power, extremly accurate, swift loading, and good for pests.
Daisy 880S disappoints February 27, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nicely made, but couldn't sight it in to save my life. Wildly inaccurate with or without the scope.
Replaced my 30+ year old Crossman 760 that finally died. The 880S is going back and a new Crossman will be coming home.
great gun but is plastic :( December 30, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
it is a very reliable and powerful gun. you can shoot either pellets or bbs. i pefer bbs because there cheaper :) although it is rather hard to sight it in with bbs but i took the scope off today (12/30/05 5:35pm)and found out its esyer to shoot and load. when i had the scope on a zerod all these birds landed infront of me!!! i shot at one and i still dont know if i hit it or if it was just flying down. for more info on air gun hunting go to www.airgunhunters.com overall a 8 out of ten (all plastic)
