A local sporting goods shop had one in stock for $170. I thought it a bit pricey for a .20cal pneumatic pump rifle but now I wanted this one since owning (and still using) a break barrel.
WOW!
What a beauty. Very nice fit and finish, I really dig the nickel plating.
Out of the box the sites came zeroed in, I did not have to make any adjustments. I was consistently hitting small groupings from as far away as 30 yards.
WAAH?!
After purchasing the mounting hardware specifically designed for the C9, I started to tighten down as far as the screws could go. The mounting hardware would not tighten and would slide up and down the rifle. No way would the scope mount to these things and stay in place.
Using electrical tape (again!), as a shim between the rifle and the mounting hardware, it helped take up the space and allowed me to tighten the hardware onto the rifle. I mounted a 3-9x31 CENTERPOINT OPTICS scope I had unused after removing it from a break barrel rifle/scope combo (I mounted a BSA scope on the break barrel). See my STORM XT review.
WOW - WOW!!
After zeroing in the scope, I was consistently hitting a tennis ball 40 yards away. Each hit of the .20cal would push the ball further away. I got up to as far as 50 yards when it got too dark outside to see it.
I only had a chance to use the CROSMAN .20cal pellets since no other brands could be found locally.
Those little plastic green army figures didn't stand a chance once I had them in the crosshairs.
